Landscapes of Injustice

Includes elementary and secondary lesson plans and superb supporting resources, from Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre.

 

The following teacher websites were created as a part of the Landscapes of Injustice project.

Includes eight lesson plans for elementary and intermediate school students (available in English and French). Topics highlighted in the lesson plans include: human rights, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, historical thinking concepts, and the internment and dispossession of Japanese Canadians.

Includes four lesson plans for secondary school students, as well as additional images, audio and video resources. Topics highlighted in the lesson plans include: emigration and settlement, war and national security, dispossession, and legacies of dispossession.

Teachers and students, did you know you can create your own playlist on the Learning Portal? Visit playlists to learn more. You can create a playlist by mixing media from the Learning Portal with your own files from student and class projects. Use playlists for class projects.
