Vancouver Island Marmot

Vancouver Island Marmots (Marmota vancouverensis), found only on Vancouver Island, are among the world's most endangered mammals. Habitat loss from logging, an increase in predator exposure, and diminishing snowpack due to climate change all trace back to our activities. They are still critically endangered despite captive breeding and rehabilitation efforts.
