Coqualeetza Residential School Shuts Down

For 150 years, 150,000 children in BC were forced from their homes and families as part of the government-supported residential school system.  The largest of these schools was the Coqualeetza Residential School in Sardis, which operated from 1886 to 1940.  Learn more at Residential Schools and Reconciliation .
