This 1913 painting by Emily Carr is of the uninhabited Haida village of T’anuu, Haida Gwaii. During her 1912 trip to Haida Gwaii (formerly known as Queen Charlotte Islands), Emily hired local guides. She often had only a few hours at each site before fog or rain forced her to stop sketching.
