Henry Nathan Jr

Henry Nathan Jr operated a general store and commission agency in Victoria for gold seekers heading to the Fraser River. At his store miners could stock up on supplies and obtain a mining license. In 1871 Nathan became the first Jewish member of British Columbia’s legislative assembly, representing Victoria.
