Pallid Bat in Flight
Bat wings are flexible because their bones are connected by a thin layer of skin. The general upstroke and downstroke motion propels the bat in flight, but the stretched skin allows it to adopt a more convex shape (called camber), allowing the body to lift.![Pallid Bat in Flight](https://learning.royalbcmuseum.bc.ca/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/12_MG_9867_Hobbs-480x360.jpg)
