We are a part of the Reynolds Flexible Studies Program and we have been exploring the topic of Black Pioneers in British Columbia.

In this podcast, we talked about two different families of black pioneers and a black female politician. More specifically, we introduced the Stark & Estes family, the Alexander family. These families came from the U.S and ended up in Saltspring, Nanaimo and Victoria. We also mentioned Rosemary Brown, who immigrated from Jamaica to Vancouver.
