Helmcken Family Guitar
This rare 19th-century Parisian parlour guitar was cherished by Rita McTavish, granddaughter of Doctor John S. Helmcken. It came from one of her aunts, a daughter of Dr. Helmcken. The Helmcken sisters often held musical soirees in the parlour of Helmcken House.
