This photograph shows Jean Caux Cataline, a packer during BC’s gold rush. Cataline travelled BC’s wilderness with up to 60 mules, carrying hundreds of pounds of supplies, led by a half dozen hired men. He transported everything – including a piano – over BC’s rough trails.![B-01506-Cataline-Cariboo-packer-Jean-Caux-ca1-1200×1490](https://learning.royalbcmuseum.bc.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/B-01506-Cataline-Cariboo-packer-Jean-Caux-ca1-1200x1490-480x360.jpg)
