This photograph shows Jean Caux Cataline, a packer during BC’s gold rush. Cataline travelled BC’s wilderness with up to 60 mules, carrying hundreds of pounds of supplies, led by a half dozen hired men. He transported everything – including a piano – over BC’s rough trails.
